five on friday

the holidays weekend is HERE! I love weekends like these because its an easy reason to get together with family and friends to hang out around the pool and eat yummy food! the 90 degree temps (and rising!) are in full swing in Texas and we’re feeling the love of that summer sun!

one. summer lovin’

checking off items on summer bucket list with a trip to gnome cones for “dinner” this week. these blood orange gnome pop are AMAZING. they have a “pop cart” and they hit up spots around town to share the goodness- but we’re thankful for their permanent location so close to home!

you know what else is amazing..? these outfits. old navy is killing it in their retro style game at the moment and I could eat these two alive because they are so dang CUTE.:: for the big girls ::

 two. the pony pick

after hearing about these pony picks on my friend Kate’s instagram (by the way if you dont follow @latewithkate you’re missing out.) I didnt even wait a single moment longer and scooped up a package online. Kate is a mom of four girls, so I trust her 100% when it comes to the struggle of getting those tiny elastics out of our girls’ hair! the best $10 you’ll ever spend. promise. you gotta get you some!

three. bogo hair care

I’ve shared my favorite hair care products in THIS POST and in my morning email scroll I got an email from Ulta that a few of my favorite products are buy two get one free! last time they had this offer I stocked up on my favorite volume booster (GUTS10 by redken)! I still have a couple bottles under my sink but I might grab a couple more bottles of GUTS and maybe add in my favorite purple/blue shampoo from Joico– the promo allows you to mix and match qualifying products!

four. splash n’ slide

we did a thing. probably the best $200 we will spend all summer. we’ve been eyeing the splash n’ slide for months.. every time we walk through Sams I beg Jordan to get it into our cart. finally, this week, he made our kids’ summer dreams come true. it was the last one on the shelf – I was probably more excited than they were, ha! we were there for chicken nuggets and left with a summer’s worth of fun.I got a ton of questions on instagram about the quality and “is it worth it?” I say YES. 100% worth it. we only paid $199 for the set up, which took less than 10 minutes, by the way.. it looks like its out of stock online and everywhere I’m looking has it for double the amount we paid.. I found it on jet.com this morning (HERE) for a great price of $263. I’d hop on it if you’ve been on the fence!five. JT love

this weekend the Justin Timberlake’s Man of the Woods tour hits Dallas and me and the bestie have tickets!! I am ECSTATIC to see him perform. I have been to every NSYNC concert thats ever been in Dallas, way back in middle school and high school (ha!) and I’m probably fan girl’ing more than ever over Sunday night.

I’m going to wear Justin’s face on my face. so there’s that. I’m totally kidding.. or am I? but how amazing are these tattoos from love + lion??

here’s to the best weekend, ever!

Have you noticed the water inflatable ruining your grass? Looks like a lot of fun but worried about it damaging our grass. Thanks 🙂

Hi Kayla! We take ours down after every use, so it hasn’t harmed our grass in any way.
