Daydate with Backcountry

today’s post is sponsored by Backcountry. as always, all opinions are my own. photos by B Faith Photography.

with five kids, it’s always hard to make time for me and Jordan. but we know how important it is to invest in our relationship, so we are always trying to find creative ways to sneak away from the kids and spend time together talking or doing an activity.  Jordan has always been a romantic and a fan of the outdoors, so when he planned this hiking day date, I thought it would be a perfect time to grab Oscar and put my newest Backcountry items to the test! spoiler alert…they did the job and MORE.we have always been huge fans of Backcountry, so when they approached me with an opportunity to share with you guys, I jumped at it! I have been gifting Backcountry items for years now. in fact, you may have seen a few pieces pop up on this years’ gift guides! They carry amazing brands like Patagonia, The North Face, Sorel and Free People. I especially love Backcountry because you can shop by brand, activity or destination. So, whether you’re on your way to mountain climb in Utah, snowshoe in Canada, or just cuddling up on your couch in a cozy fleece (I love wearing my Los Gatos Fleece while lounging!) Backcountry has you covered.  this year I included the Patagonia Nano Puff Insulated Jacket on my gift list for Jordan- even better is that I can get it for 30% off with Backcountry’s Cyber Monday sale going on right now! This jacket comes in many different colors and you cant really go wrong gifting a great versatile layering piece. I also love the Synchilla Snap-T Fleece Pullover for gifting to both Jordan and his dad- perfect for any guy in your life and wearable for all weather this winter season. The Patagonia Better Sweater Fleece is perfect for layering, dressing up for date night or worn casually for a hike around the lake.  as for my outfit, this Patagonia Silent Down Jacket, was the perfect for choice for keeping me warm in the breeze off the lake, but not sweating buckets as I tried to keep up with Oscar and Jordan. I paired it with The North Face Motivation High-Rise Tight, which are 25% off right now and an absolute steal! I wore them in black, but I loved them so much, I will probably use that discount to snag another pair. Their hiking boot collection is out of this world and after much consideration, I ended up choosing the Sorel Tofino II. I almost went for the Forsake Patch Hiking Boot but decided I loved the all weather boot option for our trip in NYC coming up. I made sure to grab some boot socks- the colors on the Darn Tough Gatewood boot socks are the best! A step up from stealing Jordan’s hunting socks to wear with my boots. I am positive Jordan appreciates that I have my own boot socks, now. I cannot forget the final accessory! My Columbia hat is the perfect coral combo and I love the size of the pom on this one!  Backcountry couldn’t wait until Cyber Monday to launch their deals, so check out their Pre-Cyber sale happening right now! They have also offered by followers 15% off your first order (some exclusions apply) when you use code AMBER15!
