first birthday inspiration with Carter’s

this post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

SO, we’re here.  birthday.  the FIRST one.  Brady will be one whole year old in less than a month and I’m hardly able to believe it.

how many times do I have to say that before it actually sinks in?! not only is he getting bigger by the hour, but I actually cannot understand where this time went. the months have been flying by!

in my past ‘first birthday’ party experiences, I did a play on the winter months and hosted a Winter ONEderland (HERE) for Jolie and Parker. I had the same kind of idea for Baker when we celebrated her July birthday with a summer strawberry picnic party (HERE).

while I normally try to leave the specific details of my parties more or less a secret until actual party day, I have been WAY excited to plan this “boy” party. I suppose we could have totally done this for one of the girls’ parties but, ya’ll this feels RIGHT.

fire trucks. all.the.way.

vintage fire trucks, actually. if you’ve followed here for long you know that all four of my kids have worn Carter’s brand clothing from birth- perfectly fitting sleep & plays, bodysuits, and precious baby outfit sets. during a baby’s first year, its all about the baby basics, fit for any occasion, and Carter’s always has what I’m looking for.  I appreciate the one-stop-shop, and no one does the coordinating outfits better than Carter’s 🙂 after deciding on his first birthday theme.. in the delivery room, mind you (ha!) I’ve been collecting fire inspired items to honor his dad and Papa (retired from the same department Jordan works for after 34 years of service!) for Brady’s biggest milestone yet.

over the last year Carter’s has done an awesome job in filling Brady’s drawers with baby boy inspired fire truck sleepers + tees and I was PUMPED when I walked into their store this week to shop the February Carter’s baby sale and stumbled upon multiple items that were just perfect for wearing for his birthday celebration! along with this darling ‘chief’ sweatshirt, I picked up a cute little fire truck tee that he’ll be able to wear with a cardigan and jeans now and when the temps warm up a bit I’ll pair with shorts (I love these camo print ones!) and sandals.

I also grabbed a neon rainbow bathing suit for Baker and colored denim shorts for the twins, but I won’t elaborate too much on that except that all these colorful spring clothes for babies is making wish for warmer weather. STAT.

okay. back to the birthday boy.party decor I ordered a few weeks back has been hitting our doorstep over the last week. a giant box of party cups, board books, party plates, straws, and napkins have been sitting in the corner of my bedroom waiting for their time to shine. hes judging me for putting him in the party box.  ..and there’s that sultry raised eyebrow face again. remember this picture? Brady. you are ELEVEN months old. not TWO. AH. I cannot get deal with how cute he looks in all this red! I still cant believe that I scored all these amazing goods that go perfectly with his birthday theme.. not to mention for everyday wear!

we’re big fans of Carter’s and their love for all the fire truck things. Brady’s face says it all.you do not want to miss out on Carter’s big baby sale.. you can shop on store and online, so hop on over to take a browse (HERE!) and while you’re there use my 20% off coupon on your entire purchase
